In his recent work created in 2014—2015 the well-known Russian photographer Vadim Gushchin reconsiders the color heritage of Russian avant-garde and icon painting and embodies it in his photographic still lifes. By turning a fragment into a comprehensive abstraction the author re-interprets common things and reveals their meanings which lie outside the fleetingness of our age.
